Hi all.
I have seen the above for sale secondhand and wondered if its suitable for rocks, the only information I can find is that it's sold for cleaning gun cartridge cases (not a lot of call for that in UK lol). I've had no experience of vibros so your help appreciated.

Lyman is the parent company of Raytech. Raytech carries a wide range of vibe tumblers from light duty hobby tumblers to industrial grade. You could compare pictures at each website. Generally metal cleaning vibes will be light duty for rock but it would depend on what model.

I just looked online and the 1200 looks like the TV10 Raytech. It is heavier duty than the TV5 but in this country (USA) it usually costs more than a Thumler's Industrial. Not recommended for use with steel shot so I don't know how well it holds up to rock. May be good for finishing preforms or already rounded rocks.

Thanks folks.
Looks like it could be good for finishing stages, freeing up my rotaries to keep turning the rough stuff. Help much appreciated. I'll let you know if I get it.

The 1200 which I happen to have one here is a light machine but will handle a small bowl with 3 to possibly 5 lbs. of rock. It is a quiet machine and works well for polishing small stuff. They are not a well built machine and it`s small so don`t pay too much for it. Used I might give them $20-30 bucks if it has a good bowl. New bowls for them are about that same price. Good luck with it!

Just to end the thread, never got the machine, sold for $60, time I added on fuel picking it up (not cheap here in UK) was not a good deal. Thanks to all who replied.
