Wow I like that last cab too. Technically speaking, carnelian is a chalcedony color variety ( orange-red) so your specimens definitely have some carnelian banding but lack the overall color saturation typical of some of the varieties from Brazil or the pacific northwest....Mel

I think Brazil agate . I see them called carnelian alot, often have a brown iron stained crust . but the inside is often not the same color. Nice stone and cabs .

It does look like some of the Montana Agate I have, I won't commit to calling it Montana Agate or Carnelian. I will commit to saying they are very nice Cabs of agate. Tom
