Hi All I finally got round to polishing a few Holiday Rocks and a few Gifts fron Dermot (Celt40) Dunuir , Ayshire , Scotland. Final polishing stages used was 1000G /Tripoly/TO Result - - - HmmmOK but could be better 1 - Some of the Pre forms 2 -Redish Quartze 3 - some of The Agates 4 - Close up of the banded Agates 5 - Close up Agate Quartze coglomarate ? 6 - Now for the "fillers ! " Garnets 7 - Special = Charoite (found recept ) 8 - Rose Quartze/Jade Cross/Botoswana Agate heart 9 - crazy Lace agate 10 - Blue Lace Agates 11 - Ukanite & Brazilian Agate Comments and advice much appreciated Thanks for looking Jack Yorkshire uk

Those are all beauties! The Brazilian pendants sure have great color!

I agree the brazil is a exceptional example , but there is alot of interesting rocks here ! , Conglomerate is my fav, Great job !

Thanks Yes the Brazillians are lovley I got them in a shop where I got the special The special purple stone - I cant find the bill to give it its name It was bought by the gram but it is slighlty under cut and hasent the shine of the Agates it was difficult to shape a "leathery aliminium " Texture (if you can work that out jack Yorkshire uk

Charoite can have such a wonderful pattern I would very much like to acquire a piece sometime in the near future =)

Nice batch Jack!! Charoite is difficult to tumble at best!
The garnets came out nice too but may be a bit harder then the other material in the load? The garnets may have led to your dissatisfaction of the shine on the other rocks??? Dunno,,,,,,,just thinking out loud,,,,,,,,,as usual! ;D

Great looking batch John. I think the Brazilian agates are out of this world. Just in case anyone is wanting to look up where you got the Scottish Agates the name of the Village is spelt Dunure. Dermot.

Spelling was never one of my best subjects and we went through a lot of Strange sounding named villages on Holiday :-)
Yes the Brazlian is quite stunning and very deep coloured
saw one of your relatives on TV the other night "the hotel Inspector " ?
