Hello Again ! Saturday Gary and I had the opportunity to rock & talk. He came to my homestead and we worked the machines! He brought me these pre-formed dopped stones. There is some palm wood & other agattiess I’m looking forward to shining I really like grinding on a dop stick and I learned lots from Gary Gary ground the agate (below) on the Nova wheels> He had an excellent shine! I wanted to show him my new cerium oxidize buffing technique and messed it up Ha Ha! Ya know.. got cerium in the crevices and dulled it some. he he.. Amazing how it is --when you want to show some one something new— it never works! Another Ha Ha!! Anyway Gary I polished it up pretty nice. Hard to take a picture --cause of the blinding reflection I had a grinding good time Gary ! ED

Thanks Guys A stone Gary left me. I think it peridot crystals in the matrix and some subtle color trying to emerge. It wasn’t dopped. I cabbed it by hand. There is more finesse controled grinding on a dop stick. I’ll admit. Now I know why I’m leaving scratches in the top middle of the stone. Can’t seem to bring the stone smoothly over the top center, on the wheel, when grinding by hand. A dopped stone is much easier to do that technique.

Well I’ll be dopped! I cabbed this palm Gary left me last night. It went smooth, fast, and a fine shine I hadn’t realize how inefficient my cabbing was by hand. Being dopped make a big difference! Thanks for dopping by! Ed
