Just got a package in the mail........My brothers are still going thru Dads stuff(passed a few years back)... They found a small tumbler and some stones he had worked with the machine. I have different feelings towards these rocks,because Dad never made it known he liked rocks.His brothers taught me my rockhounding... I'll keep them(never get rid of them)except to pass down to the grandkids...I'll check the tumbler out,see if its still able to work... Here are the stones........ Shown wet........

It's too bad you and your father never shared the joy of rock together. It also sounds like rock is a genetic trait that runs in your family line.
You have a bag full of memories in that rock collection, that should last another few million years if you don't expose them to the elements.

While it is sad that you didn't get to enjoy the hobby with your dad, you can look at it as a common string that still ties you to your father. Scott
