i have maybe 20 pairs of old prescription glasses that have fine marks on the lens because of cleaning them twenty times a day or so when i am working outside in the dust and real world air. usually about a year and i get another pair from americas best. this last time i got real glass instead of plastic. now i see the fine marks on the lens again. can i polish the lenses? and what stage of grits to use? i was thinking of starting with tripoli in corn cobs without an water, just tripoli and corn cobs and then to ao polish, or ao 1000 and then polish? if no one has any experience i will test this out. charlie

Hi Charlie,
I had the same problem last week so I buffed them with the silver polishing buffs
I used a brown stick one First I suspect it has Tripoli in it,
Washed the lens then use the Rouge stick came out excelent
I didnt bother to use the "Luster" stick which is the next polish onto Rouge as they were as near perfect as far as I could see

I would use a buff rather than a tumbler though you could damage the glass
