I got a few cabs done today, too. some didn't turn out too hot, but a few made the grade. here is a piece of Morrisonite that was a little disappointing (of course my photo skills don't help either): and here is some mex lace and an unknown green material that didn't turn out as nice as i'd hoped: i'm kind of middle of the road on this one...some sort of agate. have you ever done a cab and then thought maybe you'd cabbed the wrong side? i should have wiped the dust off this better before the photo, those aren't scratches. now these two 14mm x 10mm pieces of turquoise came out well enough for earrings: and this piece of Purple Aztec Lace that was given to me by Steve Holmes came out pretty well. I put it in a marcasite setting that i bought from Fire Mountain Gems: and backlit: and here is my favorite out of the bunch, a 25mm x 18mm mex lace, with some gorgeous shades of lavender that almost looks like a flower garden: can't wait to try and match this one up with some beads. Thanks for looking! KD

I like 'em all, but I LOVE the aztec lace. The setting's pretty cool too. I'll have to check them out.

Yupp, that last one is very nice. I like how you caught the purple splash/fireworks pattern in the middle of it.

That last one is awesome! The one in the setting is also very nice. Don't give up on the others. Once you get them in a setting or wire wrap them they might surprise you, esp that green one.

Every time I make a cab from an end cut the back turns out better so I quit doing it and toss my end cuts in a cubby hole. That last one is awesome. As said before the fireworks really adds a touch of beauty. Now if we could come up with something that people could rub on their chest that glows...........!!! lol Jim

Very nice cabs, I love the high domes you do. That Purple Aztec is dramatic in that setting, and that last cab is beyond amazing!
