In setting up another trade with John (thunder69) for more agate, he brought up the experience that after a long day hunting agates along the river, he'll see the agates in his dreams for a few days.
I've had similar moments when I'm either anticipating or had just returned from wandering the desert wasteland where I dream of scanning the dirt and sand for nodules and agates. When I wake up I get so irritated when I actually don't have the material I collected in my dreams. I figure I earned it doing all that hard work in my sleep, I should have it once I wake.
But alas...
Anybody have these? I figure they're common, but hey - thought I'd ask.

I used to dream like that about finding arrowheads, picking them up all over the ground, filling buckets up,the ground covered solid.

When I was working in the computer networking business about 15 years ago I used to have dreams after going through network setups. Typically they were of subnetting problems manifested, oddly enough, as children showing up at my home looking for a specific media access control (MAC) address and IP address. Everytime one would show up, they would had me a piece of paper with those addresses written on them. I would look at it, mentally do the subnetting problem, and shake my head. They would casually take the paper back and move to the next house.
I like the agate dreams better. Paul

Happens to me all the time except I dream about whatever I was concentrating on that day. Yesterday I was pawing through gravel piles all morning so I dreamed about gravel piles last night. Horse days I dream about horses. ( I love horse dreams!) arrowhead hunting day, arrowheads etc. In college when I worked for a dive shop, I'd have underwater swimming dreams which were freaking weird. Felt like flying and sometimes I'd start awake really disoriented and half seasick, The mind is a very strange thing.*L*....Mel

I remember many years ago when my niece and I went to the Fire Agate mine south of Blythe and dug all day in the dry, windy, dusty hot mine. The next day my neice said she had some wierd dreams about digging in the mine and finding huge pieces. She asked me if that wasn't kinda odd. I said nope, I had the identical dreams. Something about our minds make them rehash recent experiences. I read somewhere that dreams aren't nothing more than our brains defragging after a hard day's use. Bob

I've dreamed about strangling a few bosses. Does that count ?
Since most of the areas I hounded in were already familiar to me, I'd dream about them for 2 or 3 days leading up to the hounding trip. Usually too tired to dream after the trip.

Along with the rock dreams, I too have had the ones about bosses with the reticule crossed right on their forehead. The rock dreams are more healthy I suppose. Woody

I dream constantly about collecting quartz crystals and clusters. After a night of doing this, I am exhausted the next day !!!!
