I just got my Thumlers tumbler model A-R 2 and have a question. I have no idea what "bearings" are so am not sure where to oil. I have looked at a few threads but am still confused, can anyone give a good description or picture of where the oil goes? Got my rocks from The Rock Shed and thanks so much to Shawn for answering my questions about them and I am ready to get tumbling. Thanks for any help, I am so excited to get it going (even though it will be weeks before they are done 1 phase). Jen in San Antonio

Welcome aboard Jen. The bearings are those white plastic things on each end of the shafts. Just use a drop of light oil on each, and wipe off any that drips. There is also a hole on each end of the motor. Just a drop of oil in each hole every month or so. I use 3in1 oil, but a light automotive oil will work.

Thank you so much!! My son (8) just got home and is really excited to get started. He picked the rocks, crackle quartz and amethyst. Thankfully he is a very patient and meticulous child. I took some pictures of the rocks we are tumbling and can't wait to see the changes. Thanks for the help!
