Welllllll, guess I would have to list it as "good news/ bad news" bad news first --- didn't sell near as much as I had hoped to or else I had way too much that I took ;D ;D -- I had taken alot of jade -- slices, chunks, and kinds, but, no-one bought even one piece ? -- thought sure there would be some jade lovers there looking for rough --only one other person had jade that I noticed and that was just a couple chunks -- I did okay for my first show but most were there for jewerly type stuff which was a busy seller --some did real good in that area on the good side --I did get alot of comments on the layout with houses, lamps, etc. my biggest seller was junky slabs and rough for tumbling/slabbing one person bought it all near the end of the show so I started discounting it so I wouldn't have to load it to take home again!-- that helped alot in reloading the truck after the show ;D would I do another show ? -- probably

Dave, I would love to see you come to our show next year. We didn't have any rough being sold, and we need a seller who has both rough and finished stuff because there are only so many local folk looking for rough.
One of the best items (most bids, good value) in my silent auction was a large agate slab on a block of wood. I think you could do well here.

I had about a dozen nice slabs --1/2" thick 3-6 " diameter and noone looked at them either ??-- they were all polished --but the sawed ones that weren't polished and had matrix and holes in them (I thought ugly and non-usuable for anything I could think of ) all sold --- think five different people bought them up !

Sorry it wasn't as good as you thought it would be, might have just been the wrong type of crowd. You never know until you hit different areas. Next one, you might just sell out.
