Hey Dave. I recently got an MK303 for my 18" saw and it cuts like a dream. I've cut quite a bit of agate, jasper and even a large nephrite jade boulder and it's still like brand new.

MK blades rock for large slabing. Thats what i got too Ed. IT roughly 6 years old and still cutting strong, even after dishing it once. do'h! i fixed the dish and the blade gives a little more scuff than i would perfer. But it still cutting strong and has lots of life left. Jasper are my fav to cut.

Howdy Dave, I usually get the MK 301 Gem King and have had real good luck wear wise and they can be sent out for repair. Like Ed, my buddy swears by the MK 303 Pro . I think it actually cuts better than the 301 because the segmented rim clears the cut better. Maybe Ed can correct me on this but I've been told the 303, being a segmented continous rim, can't be repaired if dinged or dished, whereas I have my 301's repaired all the time at Barranca Industries for about $60. I guess if you're a screw up with a clunky saw like me that feature is pretty important!....mel
