Was a little discouraged after my last load, but I got some nicely polished guys out today. Now I'm actually having a problem of where the stones are so brightly polished that they cause all kinds of glare and reflections when I try to snap a photo...a nice problem to have after some of my previous struggles. To those who said that the damage in my last load was caused by loading the barrel too light, apparently, you were right. I made sure this barrel was 3/4 full throughout the process. 50 cent Kenya shilling coin for size -- little bigger than a USA penny. This specimen of Arizona petrified rainbow wood will join my specimen cabinet. That's just too much color. :-)

As I sit with a big smile I can only think of how happy I was when I finally got my first load of rock to actually shine! It's a wonderful feeling and you deserve to enjoy it!
Good luck and have fun!

I wish I had the same problem you had with this batch. Darn shine.
