the folks who polish rocks in our rock club think it is the best polish to use. i don't see it advertized at therockshed.com. i haven't noticed it mentioned in the posts on here also. any comments? thanks, charlie

thank you so much for the reply. i will get a couple of pounds today. we have our local rock show at the norfolk, nebraska mall today and tomorrow. our dealer said he has a couple of pound packages for 16. same as the link you provided. those who are polishing in the club are always using tumblers. i am the only one using the vibe for polishing. mark, who farms out rocks to get polished for his occasional shows, said my petrified wood that he saw was as good as anything he had gotten back. maybe i can get some business polishing? this was with ao polish from the rockshed. charlie

I use TXP. I mix it with AO super polish from JS Gems. It's kinda hard to find. Works great in tumblers and I use it on my leather polishn pad. Later Clyde

Charles: For the tumbler, unless you're doing something really difficult to polish ( I do mainly jasper and agate) I don't think you can beat the AO polish sold by the Rockshed at $4 a pound in five pound bags. I mainly use a vibe for the polish stage but it works in a rotary and just takes a bit longer. Great polish results at a very reasonable price compared to polishes like TXP...Mel

The only advantage with TXP to AO is that you get the same results in less time. I've used both and went back to AO from the rockshed and still get blinding results.

I could not find the micron size of the Rock Shed's AO but TXP is 3-4 micron. Works great in rotaries and on buffs on anything cerium will polish. I sell it under my label as OMG1. The OMG2 (.3 micron AO) works better in vibe tumblers and on softer stones buffing. 2 lbs. for $16 is a good price.
