What do some of you folks use as a final polish on a dry vibe tumble of sterling silver items to get a high shine?

I tumble my sterling in a small vibrating tumbler with mixed-shape stainless steel shot, a drop of Dawn Liquid dishwashing soap, and water just up to where it is visible. This works very well for chains. Never did it dry.

We use Vibra Dry (25,000) to polish/remove tarnish from sterling silver findings on my wife's beaded jewelry. Really works well to remove even heavy tarnish on old silver. Biggest problem is the little seeds, etc. get caught in chain links and have to be cleaned out. It is a reusable dry polish that works well on rock too.

Jack, what polishing powder additive do you use? I have some cerium oxide, would that work? Usually, I do what Pat does.

What is the benefit of using dry media? Wouldn't you still have to rinse it off? Thanks.

With Vibra Dry you end up with a slightly oily coating. We give it a quick wipe with a polishing cloth sometimes.

Hi Deedolice,
The polishing stuff I use is called Barrel Bright
It gives a excelent high shine finish after 4 hours on old (black ) silver or new soldered articles
