A few weeks ago I was with my daughter at her father-in-laws land and there was alot of these rocks they are hard used a rock hammer to break a piece off and it was not that easy and they have a mossy brown grass growing out of them every where the grass was there are holes some big the area had lots of clay here are some pics I also found a couple of other rocks pet wood softer than most I have and scoria I grabbed a couple of these or I should say my daughter did

Looks a lot like the limestone that we have around here. Mountains made of it. Some is hard and some is medium. The solid pieces are pretty good carving stone. Jim

you can carve it awesome maybe I will practice on that when I get brave enough to try.
