I went to the Nova Scotia Gem & Mineral Show in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia this weekend. It’s not a big show, but has about 50 exhibitors, 10 demo booths and 6 interpretive walks each year. Given that it is the only show for hundreds of miles, we tend to get a little excited about it around here. I bought three pieces of Celestite from Madagascar for shelf display. I bought a slab of Dendritic Chert from Wyoming. There are a few tree silhouettes in this piece. I bought a half nodule of Black Skin Agate from Brazil (I think). I bought a chunk of Amazonite from Brazil. More white than typical in this piece, but it has potential. I bought a Carnelian Agate nodule which is always a bit of a crap shoot until you cut it. From the chip, it looks like there may be some tangerine and red in this one. Darryl.

Nice pieces but, I like the black agate the bestest. Carnelian/ Varisite intarsia cab would be sweet!

Very nice pieces. I like the carnelian and dendritic chert the best.
