No compliments until you share your methods. I have more people ask me at shows about Apache tears. I have this coffee can full somewhere I tried to tumble when I first started. They shrunk pretty well and looked worse than when I started. I got disgusted and never tried again. Maybe you will inspire me and others to try again.

Awesome job! I am not brave enough to attempt those yet but when I do I hope I have similar results.

John- My recipie was pretty standard.
Done completely in a 3# barrel. 60/90 sc until shaped. In this case 2 weeks (no recharge) 120-220 sc 2 weeks 500 sc 2 weeks 1000 ao 2 weeks ao (Rock shed) polish for 2 weeks in dedicated barrel. I use lots of plastic pellets(about 20% by volume I guess. I don't measure) in stage 2 on. I also do a several hour borax burnish/wash from stage 2 on. usually overnight.
Worked for me. I think the quality of the Obsidian probably has more to do with it than anything.

OK thanks. Then I'll say they are the nicest I've ever seen. I'm guessing with the long runs each step they looked pretty nice before the polish step.
