I got a package from Rare Rocks and Gems today, some Feather Ridge Plume I ordered from Phillip, and cut a few cabs to see what this stuff is like. I like it, but it's very similar to Regency Rose Plume or Nyssa Plume. What do you think? And here's some cabs from Labradorite I got for winning a contest a few months ago that Carlton hosted. 2 views of this cab. And a boulder Opal. Going to Iceland on Sunday, so I'll see you all when I get back!

rare rocks and gems should hire you to promote the feather river plume. That first cab is enough to cause a stampede.

The color of that Feather Ridge plume is awesome, but my favorite is the second picture of your second lab - looks like a lightening bolt in it. That boulder opal is awesome too. Have a great trip to Iceland. Maybe you could find some Iceland Spar, which is really clear calcite, which was sometimes called sunstone that the Vikings may have used to navigate the oceans with. One of our neighbors wrote a book on it and showed me a set-up like he thought the Vikings might have used for navigation, but I digress..........I will be looking forward to your future postings.

Beautiful cabs, but that's because you're a talented cabber:).
I'm surprised the feather plume has so much orange... thought it was PINK plumes???
LOVE the labradorite... Carleton has some fantastic labradorite colors!!! (HOT PINK Labradorite!!!). I got some from him and his labradorite is absolutely wonderful, and he lets you pick even preforms by color and grade. Then takes the time to explain what is different about it.
The boulder opal is GORGEOUS!!! Do you ever fill the holes with epoxy, or better to leave them?

Wow the plume is very nice. The colors do remind me of Regency Rose but the plume seems more densely arranged. Really like that last Koroit too. I really like those when they have that fish scale type pattern....Mel

Thanks everyone. I'll cut more of the Feather Ridge when I return to see if I find anything really nice in the lot. I like the Lab, different colors than I'm used to.
