Nice job on those! My favorite is still the Indonesian Sagenite with natural edge.

Nice cabs, but honestly Ed the photo setup is leaving an ugly reflection, a hard one, of the light source on every cab. Some folks here would not be honest if you put a gun to their head, but the reflection is an honest fact. Not an opinion, A fact, plain to see. Just saying because you asked.
Maybe something better for diffusion/scatter.

Beautiful cabs, and the setup is very good, not distracting the attention from the cabs. I think some stones would fit better on a dark backgrond - like the Peruvian opal. Maybe you can find some black simmilar material (wool?) to use it for the light colored cabs. I also like your logo.

Your stones are wonderful, as usual. I'd make Stones in Motion smaller, so it doesn't compete with the stone. I'd also work on the lighting, which is always a bear. like the plainer background much better.

Again the cabs are great, but I liked the old frosted glass better for the photography. Woody

I have found that in almost all cases a black felt no reflective background really makes the cabs jump right out of the picture. I also have found by using indirect lighting as opposed to shining the light directly on the cab cuts down on the harshness and reflection. I would go so far as saying the reflection is ugly but it can be a bit distracting. Are you using a light box/tent to defuse the light? That helps soften and reduce shadows. With shiny object you will find that if you shine your light source not directly on the subject it will help in reducing that glare and give a warmer look. Lighting takes a bit of tweeking but after a while it becomes second nature to you. They do look really nice but try a darker background and see if you like it. Stu

Thanks for the comments everyone. The photos are a work in progress and I thank you for your honesty in commenting on them. To address some things mentioned, I'm using a home made light box, the two side lights have their own glass diffusers, the light seen glaring above the cabs is just a small bedside lamp with a bare bulb, hence the glare. About using a black background, NO!!!!! I used a black background for a long time, and although the black background makes the cabs "Pop" or jump out of the picture, there is a price to pay for it, and that is untrue colors of the cabs. The camera picks up the background color and compensates for it on the subject matter. I put these pictures on my store to sell and I don't want my customers being surprised when they open the package and finding out the colors were more intense in the photos. I would rather have the cabs look drab, if that's what they are. By using a white or close to white background, I get true colors without having to tweak every photo in photoshop.
Anyway, I agree that the water mark should be smaller, the glare must be kept down so it doesn't distract from the subject matter, keep the comments coming. I may just go back to the upside down frosted glass nut dish! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!!

WOW the stones are so beautiful I hardly noticed the pics, but I think they look great, pics are such a source of stress in this house, we have given up! Some of these are a bit glarey, the nut dish pics were always super, and I agree make the logo a bit smaller, love the saganite!

They all look good to me. Very clear. I like that you don't have a distracting texture behind.

Ed, turn off the bedside lamp. Bedside lamp introduces a different type of light. No more squirrel; lines are distracting. Yes, use white.
