I've seen some really gorgeous tumbled carnelian on here. Snuffy I think comes to mind but there have been others, particularly in that "inspire the newbies" thread.
Question is: What type of carnelian are we looking for to get good results? It seems to come from all over, and the color variation seems to be pretty broad. I like the pinky orange ones, not the gold-orange ones so much. Do we want individual smaller agates, or cut up bigger ones? China v. Brazilian v. Oregon? Thoughts?
I'm sort of looking for "Email ___ and tell him/her you want ___." But I guess any education about what works and what doesn't is also welcome as well.
Oh, and, is Quartzsite a good place to get it?
Thanks!
