Susan,
Thanks for taking this on. I'm leaving frigid central TX Thursday so if there's anything else I need to contribute to the BBQ, let me know soonest.

Susan, there will be 2 of us. I had heard this would start at 5pm. For anyone from California, this would be 4pm our time. If you forget this little fact, you will be an hour late! Jean
PS - I knew you would be great at this!

I just spoke with Darlene from Sweet Darlenes (a local restaraunt that serves fantastic food) and she is providing us with 2 gallons of potato salad and 2 gallons of beans.
I have 3 here but expect several of the local vendors to be there as well, so I figure 10 or 15 from here. I will provide hamburgers and hot dogs also.
If you have chairs bring them. I have some tables but no chairs.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Tony
PS..............Thanks Susan!

I will be there. I don't think Lori and the kids will be there. They all came out last weekend and went home with a cold. They are all under the weather except Joshua. So I think they are going to stay where it is warmer with a fire place. I will bring mustard, mayo, ranch dressing and a jar of baby dills. How does that sound? See you all there!!

Yeah Hi Denny. How many people? Just you? Me and my wife. We also have three friends (who are also friends of Tony) but I don't know if they have seen this thread (they frequent another forum) so it's probably best to add them as well. Denny

Hey Susan, guess I'm slow on the uptake lately...lol By the way, thanks for volunteering yourself to do this ;-) I'm coming - me, myself, and I but you can count me as 1...lol Don't know what I'll bring but may wait until everyone else chimes in and bring what is needed plus a little something extra. There is a place in Q that sells ice and soda I'm sure. Any suggestions on soda types? That's great Tony, WTG Sweet Darlene's Sorry to hear about the family Christopher, hope they heal up fast.

Susan,
Since Tony made arrangements for the beans, change our selection to Pasta salad.

Susan, believe it or not, Quartzsite is not at the ends of the earth! They actually have a couple of grocery stores, where you can get most anything. They also have gas stations, Micky D's (free wi-fi there, with purchase, I imagine) and other fast food restaurants, a post office, and even free wi-fi at the library (Mon-Fri only)! If you don't have a laptop, they even have a half dozen computers you can use for a half hour at a time (if anyone else is waiting). Some of the places to stay also have wi-fi, if you are a paying customer. And for all of you that have smart phones (you can just bite me ! Just kidding, of course), y'all can ignore the info on wi-fi. I'll just continue to use my very small, antique cell phone, thank you very much! Jean And a BIG THANK YOU to Sweet Darlenes!

dang, I missed this thread. A week from Saturday. If I get a commission check before then I might jump in. If I do I promise to bring something good.
I figure 3.5 hours drive. I guess I need to find a place to sleep.
