Very nice jasper and agate. I like the gem silica, was up at that old mine, with the car hood?

Great gobs of jasper and cool rocks. I think you picked up more than that though ;-) Bet she is holding out on us...LOL. She was picking up rocks the minute she got out there and we even had to gripe at her to stop looking down and get in the group picture. Glad you got some good stuff.

Diane, I swear this all I took - well, maybe just a couple more... This was just MY haul, not Mr. Rockpickerforever's. Together, we brought home about two five-gallon bucket's worth from Branda. I went through his stuff yesterday (just a few pieces), and now have everything cleaned and sorted out. I even broke out my flat lap, and started in on a few of the chips. I may even get a chance to finish a couple of them today. Nice weather for cabbing, 'supposed to get into the upper 70s here today - I LIKE IT! But I really need to finish cleaning up the saw, and getting the new blade on it. Then watch out! Jean

Hi Jean; love that red green white stuff. Xmas rocks! Is it all small or are there any bigger blocky pieces?? Would love a christmas stone sphere!

Ya know, Scott, while I was wandering around, picking up rocks, believe it or not, you and your spheres were in the back of my mind. Had I come across a good sized chunk, I would have definitely picked it up for you. I might even have brought home an appropriate (though not huge) rock, will have to look and see...
I did get the saw cleaned out, and the blade changed, but haven't worked any of the slabs yet. I did make four small cabs from some chips, and even took pictures. Just haven't felt like dealing with photobucket lately. With the weather expected to be cold and rainy the next few days, maybe I'll tackle a pb session, and get those puppies posted. Jean
