Y'all come out tomorrow (Sunday) 10-4. Lots of neat stuff at the show - I have a few saws, poly arbors, lap & bull wheel for sale plus tons of slabs and cabs.

Man I so wanted to go but had the annual horseback scavenger hunt last weekend. It was a lot of fun, Easter and St paddy's themes with lots of hidden eggs, pots of gold, shamrocks etc. Kiddies especially loved it but we had a lot of grownups too. Instead of getting to visit Matt Dillon and you and buy cool rocks, I got a bellyache from too many chocolate Easter eggs and marshmallow bunnies *L*.....Mel

Riverbend, how did the show go? We went to the annual show of the Palomar Gem & Mineral Clug (Escondido, CA) on Saturday. I was somewhat disappointed that it was so small. And our club didn't even have an annual show last year... It's always good to hear when someone's club has a successful, well attended show, ike bobby1's recently. Mel, didja see any leprechauns?? Jean: We had leprechauns, gnomes, chicks, bunnies, eggs etc hidden all over the several mile long route. Folks had to take pics of some of the objects, count others, and of course collect eggs hanging from trees and bushes from horseback which can be quite a challenge. Took five riders three hours to set up the hunt and six of us to take down all the flags and left over stuff after the hunt. My horse Hopper is not the best behaved of beasties and man was I pooped afterwards.
I really wanted to see Riverbend's rough at the show though. I've purchased from him before and he has really fine material at really reasonable prices. And of course, Matt is one of my idols. and the guy who first got me interested in Texas shrinkwood. His booth is always full of outrageous rock goodies. I suppose I should look on the bright side. By doing the ride instead of the show, I saved myself a bunch of money, especially because my wife always wants to eat and shop at the giant Bass Pro outdoor store in San Antonio after the show *L*......Mel

Mel, I have a new load of stuff coming in from India in a week or two. You are welcome to come dig around and see what you can find. I have 8 buckets of slabs that I picked out for the show and many tons of rough.
