My tablet is all I have, its a Verizon Samsung 3G. I am using one of the most common android platforms in the United States. I have no idea about other forums using photobucket. Based on my opinion it is a photobucket problem and this rf orum is full of people having photbucket problems like mine plus they cant get pb to post to this forum all of a sudden. Seems like the logical thing is to block photobucket until photobucket fixes their problem. 90 % of the threads are now useless to android users. Please help me but I must point out that defending photobucket and not attacking the problem at its root is only applying a bandaid because ever since I have been on here there has been one thing or another going on with photobucket. I really want to the the members pics! Bottom line there are very few trully active members posting, new guests with a android are going to take one look and say these people have tons of threads with hardly no words and pics that cant be seen. Lets get upper mgt on this and fix it please?

well I can't help if you aren't realistic.
there is no connection between rth and photobucket, and no way rth or poboards can block photobucket. you do not have a view of reality. sorry. web does not work that way.
the other people having problems are with the new interface, or possibly with some upload function. I only saw one other report of any trouble specifically on mobile devices.
it is possible photobucket servers have been a bit slow and the problem shows more on slower connections ... but when I google I don;t see any general discussion of this kind of problem. I did see a bad cookie problem blocking photobucket in 2005, but that is hardly relevant. I also visited proboards support forums and a search for photobucket did not turn up other folks having similar problems on other boards. possibly it is too new, but ... I don't think so.
you can quote some messages where you can see pics, and look at the URL in preview mode to determine where the image is hosted. get more info ... or just wait and hope the problem goes away.

As a very successful district manager for a nationwide fortune 500 corporation I found out early on that when investigating customer complaints I should take them very seriously. In my experience there is never just one isolated occurence when checking out complaints. There is actually generally only one customer willing to take the time to submit a complaint, the other customers just leave very unsatisfied and very unhappy. Therefore yes my dear sweet mouthed friend I am willing to be the "jerk". Or the squeeky wheel or the black card or the "concerned member that is shocked that this forum does not seem to realize that "we" have a serious photobucket problem. Has anyone representing this, one of the largest, best lapidary forums, contacted photobucket about this issue? I can assure you that photobucket makes their profits increase with more new users and someone within their organization would be quite upset to find that they are losing members! I cant fix photobuckets problems my friend by researching "urls". Sorry my method is more direct. My opologies to all that I have offended, I just desire for all of the members, guests, and myself to continue to learn about lapidary here on RTH.

Orrum, no offense but we aren't a business with customers. Most of us don't have a clue when it comes to how this whole dub-dub-dub-dot-interwebs thingy works, we just like our rocks. I sure hope you are communication with proboards and Pbucket about your issues. Especially Pbucket and other photo sharing sites. Or more likely Verizon.
I have never had a problem viewing photos here with a PC, so I am guessing that it is your 3G network. From what I have gathered from smart phone users, the internet you view is a copy of what us PC and Mac users see scaled down to fit your much slower connection. Perhaps they don't have the image part totally worked out yet. My daughter had Clear internet (from cell towers) for a time and it was about as fast as dial-up, pretty much worthless.

I have a Samsung Incredible Smart phone on Verizon. I just checked the forum to see if it was an Android issue. I am able to view all pics fine. I can't help but think the problem is on your end.

No, I did find some discussion on the web about android users having problems. Took a while because OT would not help with info.
Seems, it is the android users using the standard android browser. While likely brought to surface by photoucket renovations, it is not yet clear if this is photobucket problem or maybe android browser app problems - somebody had done something not fully implementing the standard, and it has created a problem.
I put a post in the general forum. The dedicated proboards app seems to work fine, and I also loaded Opera browser and it works fine too. FireFox app hung. Did not try Chrome.
Anyway, until whoever fixes whatever, people having problems on mobile devices can try Opera browser app

Well due to my medical problems I have to stay inside the house but as soon as I heal up I will take my tablet to Verizon for answers. It is a Samsung Galaxy tablet. I called Verizon support and the told me there was nothing wrong with my tablet but maybe the Verizon store can find something in person! All I know is I surf the web and other forums with no issues and up until a few days ago I could see pics fine here. Sorry but I like to look at yalls rocks and cabs.

Just a FYI- I do not have the proboards app. I am using the android browser, however I do have all the latest updates. I have a very low signal, but the board and pics load fine....just somewhat slow.

If this is the same problem I found discussed on the net, then you would be unable to see images hosted at photobucket on other forums.
That is why I wanted you to quote a message and look at the image URL to see where it was hosted. That kind of info make a big diagnostic difference.
Possibly getting updated version of browser (if there is one) on your tablet could help. When problem is solved you might need browser app update, depending on who/where problem is.
Meanwhile, if you want to see pics, go to play store and download proboards app or opera app or both, and start looking at pics.
