I took advantage of the sunlight to try to capture some different obsidians and a fire agate. Fire Agate Velvet Obsidian Misc obsidian These are regular pics-Carnielian Iris agate Blue Owhyee Opal Royal Aztec Lace Woodward Ranch I've got a couple of really nice and unusual cabs coming up, maybe in a few days.

how do you like the velvet obsidian.. haven't tried any of that yet...but love the way it looks... also the blue owhyee, and woodward ranch... heck like than all but those are the ticket for me !!

Wow, star fire agate, lol. Love those pics. And what a coincidence... I was just looking up royal velvet on line, and followed a link to a thread of yours back in 06, with a royal velvet cab. I mean, not 4 minutes ago I just got some royal velvet and wanted hints on cutting it. Beautys as per usual with you, Ed. T

The royal velvet obsidian is my favorite obsidian to work. It always polishes easily and the colors are fantastic. Tony, just remember to cut the slabs about 15 degrees off the flow lines to get the most color.
