Productive night for a noob - I did one more, a beautiful jasper/agate from Burris Creek but it developed a nasty elongated pit thingy somewhere between 600 and 1200...grrr. bruneau jasper cherry-orchard agate Thanks for looking

Both are beautiful. I like that red accent in the 2nd one and the Bruneau looks like a coffee maker when pouring milk in it. I can almost feel the smell ... oh, wait, there's my morning coffee smelling Adrian

Someone who is able to turn out such fantastic cabs has lost his entitlement of newbie status.
Gorgeous, both of them!

Thank you all and nice try but you can't rob me of my noob status for at least a year I may have to use it to explain all the cabs that go south on me or break. Drummond - yeah bruneau is beautiful and quickly one of my favorites. Very hard and stable and holds a fantastic shine. I actually have a nicer un-trimmed slab with the classic bruneau orbicular patterns in it but I haven't had the nerve to cut into it yet because I don't want to screw it up LOL.
