Well the coolest part is that my older brother is a hard-core rockhound who happens to have several milk crates full of montana agate nodules ...cooler still is that he invited my girl and I up to his house this weekend to cut rocks to our heart's content ;D montana agates are just cool enough already but imagine cutting this one on discovering orange dendrites... I was going to wait till making some cabs out of it before posting any photos but honestly I can't bring myself to cut into it. I'm thinking I might make a specimen display... or maybe not... I've got a head-cold so clearly I'm not thinking clearly heehee. This piece is about a .25" thick end-cap The end-cap and the next slab

Montana agate is pure and dense-fine material. That's as good as it it gets.

Cool! Wish I knew where to buy some of those montana agates...... we've got tons of agates here in NM, but nothing like that!

You are looking at material that has become really very scarce these days and hence sells for lots of $$$.

Excellent piece.
I think you're smart to wait until you're really sure before you alter it. It's one of those things you can't undo...
