Hello all!
I'm very excited as I am going to my first ever Rock 'n' Gem show on Saturday.
Now do any of you have any tips - I need to be able to control myself and not run madly about the place screaming with joy.
Strait-jacket or medication?

erbo--- stop what you are doing this minute and send me all your money ---- then you will be able to go to the show and just look ! I'll send it back next monday ! ;D ;D ---- otherwise the only hint I'd give you is make one complete circle of all the tables then come back and make your "buys" ---- that way you can see if anyone has a better price on the same rocks !

NAHH Run around flalling your arms about and screaming at the top of your lungs "OHHH LOOK AT ALL THE PRETTY ROCKS" then go up to each vendor and ask what theyu have for free??? Most of them will give you a slab or 2 just to get rid of ya (Teasing) But really the best thing to do is HAVE FUN! See everything Buy Nothing (ok maybe just a few things)

Actually I prefer medication to straight jacket cuz you can still fondle the rocks while under medication and it'll wear off too hehe Have fun & go round & check it all out before you buy - nothing worse than seeing a better buy after you purchased similar stuff for more $$

Take your camera, too. And see if you can do a better job than I did in Tucson.

Go in there with a deep shopping cart, that will show them you are serious, and also you will only have to make two trips to the car!!!

I hope its proper rocks and stuff and not just tumbled crystals and incense sticks!!

Ya defintly have something comfortable to take your buys around, if you plan on buying rough, as a 5 gallon bucket gets old real fast. Also LOL don't EVER take all your cash LMAO-Its just to tempting!!! Have fun man!!!!

DON'T BRING ANY CREDIT CARDS!!! A lot of vendors take them and you will be in trouble.

Hi, my name is Ken; I am a rockaholic. I'm ok as long as I don't take that first drink rock. But one rock, just one, and I am gone. I'll drink buy rock until I pass out. And in the morning I will have no memory of what happened.
