The light within really shows off the beauty of the agate. Nice job, Dave. Is this a continuing hobby, or have you reached the zenith now? Ya got me thinking about a proper end for that 13 pound Brazilian carnelian I'm sitting on.

Not just great lamps, but an excellent picture. Getting the extra lamp in the mirror is really a nice touch.
Congrats.

Dave showed me his lamps quite a few months ago & I nearly crapped my pants! These take a tremendous amount of time - patience - skill & artistic talent to complete. Daves eye for the agate is enviable. Just think about this...you find the perfect brazillion agate for the shade, start slicing it and boink! it's destroyed or as the polishing is going on...ya drop it. Point is, ya can't make too many mistakes or it will not come together. His lamps are Pericles. They will never be duplicated, are one of a kind & I wish he was my Daddy, cause then he'd HAVE to make me one too! Doesn't surprise me a bit he won! Just look at them!

Did anyone else notice that out of all the winners listed, all but 2 or 3 are of RTH members -the others may be RTH members as well, but I'm unsure who they are.
I posted a wrap too, but with a league like that, I doubt I'll win - maybe one month when no one else enters... hehe

Those are awesome, Snowdog! I dabble in stained glass but have never tried lamps yet - using agates adds a whole new element of difficulty I'd say! Those are beautiful! Congrats on the well deserved win!
