Interesting. I put it on the watch list. No reserve. But no ooportunity to see the property or a way to gauge the prospect of profits.
I guess turquoise at $100+ a pound will make it failry simple to get a modest price back.

If you are interested in this ask phillip questions - I don't know him personally, but have had some dealings with him and he appears to be a straight shooter and shoud answer any questions you may have.

Not all that hard to "salt" a mine for pics. Much of the desert around Barstow is being closed by the BLM. I'd want to know a whole bunch more about the BLM's plans for that area before putting any money into a mining claim. It may be a clear and active claim now, but that doesn't mean the BLM is going to allow the claim to be transferred to a new owner.

Good point Don. And a buyer cannot make an offer contingent on such performance.
Christopher is in AZ digging chrysocola.

Hey Scott, before I moved out of California I was going to take out a claim on the old Black Jack silver mine just west of the Kel Baker Rd., about a mile from Rt.66. Lots of nice dumortierite in the tailings. About the time I got the paperwork started, the BLM completely closed down several thousand acres right next to the mine. That changed my mind about filing the claim. I wanted to claim so I could keep the mine tailings open for rockhounds.

Not all that hard to "salt" a mine for pics. Nope, I just thought that particular pic was a bit too obvious. I wanna see what he does to sell a gold mine ;D lol

One of those turquoise boulders in pic #8 would pay for the purchase price - assuming it is still there...

agreed about the rejects. this one might be more desirable as the owner was 1000 miles away and you are 100 or less!
Seems like a backhoe could really uncover material fast at this site. It's not a hard rock mining site.
