I picked up this piece of green jasper in Zapata that looks just like a foot. My problem became apparent when I measured it and realized it was just as tall as the 3# Lortone barrels I use for the last final three steps. I compounded the problem by including two other large rocks in the barrel along with a lot of smalls. I intend to retumble with nothing but smalls but it didn't come out too terrible. I really like this foot so it's worth the extra effort. I should have remembered my Mom's admonition to "Quit stuffing yore mouth before you choke". Here's the bottom of the foot and then the top: A piece of Mexican agate I picked up at the local gem show: I've had a piece of chrysophrase for a couple of years now, dreaming of the day I would cab it. Welp, I couldn't wait, here is a piece of it: That green just blows me away! A big piece of pudding/breccia I had to throw into an already overloaded barrel: I won't say I've learned my lesson, but I don't expect to repeat it this week. Have a great day!

your results are better then I would have expected for those conditions. The chrysophrase is really cool and that mexican lace agate is great too.

Nice!!! I love the first Mexican agate photograph! Awesome Chrysoprase too! At the cost of that stuff, I haven't tried tumbling it. But, considering it's a chalcedony, I bet it was dreamy to tumble? ?? I've noticed that stuff glows crazy like........ well, glow in the dark toys!!! ;D

Thanks, the tip of the toe and the back of the heel came out hazy. It's not like I have to turn in my shoe laces and any sharp objects or anything but it could have come out better. I picked up that Mexican agate and Mexican flame agate I posted a few weeks ago at the same show. That vendor had some nice, inexpensive pieces.

Those came out fantastic! Amazing that you could do all that in a 3lb barrel.

Nice, nice. For us, moss and dendrites are the things that set special from average.
