This is the last cab from a small rock that I was (barely) able to slab with my little trim saw - I posted two other cabs from it previously and this is the last little piece. I really like this one the best of the three - the stone had gotten progressively darker and this end piece is the darkest of the three. It's Chrysocolla in quartz and ... something else that appears yellower than green in person.

Really nice work on these! I'm liking the chrysocolla best as well!

I see that you have drilled your holes far enough down to avoid the possible breaking off of the tips. Will you use an "icepick" bail on these or something else?

Looks like one piece took a better shine.

Thanks everyone! I see that you have drilled your holes far enough down to avoid the possible breaking off of the tips. Will you use an "icepick" bail on these or something else? Yep! a little too far if you ask me hahaha. It' a soft stone so I was assuming I would come closer to the holes than I did. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them if I ever have time I'll probably do a simple bail wrap in silver. Looks like one piece took a better shine. I think that's just bad lighting/camera angle. All three took a similar medium-gloss shine. Not great but not bad. Someday if I ever have time and inspiration I will build a lightbox.
