Hello, I just wanted to pop up and thanks for the board. I've browsed threads in the past and always enjoy reading the posts on building things, etc. I'll be honest, the main reason I signed up was to post a notice of our Club's Show, but I guess I should tell you something about me. I'm currently the President of the Toledo Gem and Rockhound Club in Toledo Ohio. I love lapidary but with the kids getting in the way, I'm currently the stay at home dad, I'm limited. I've cut lots of opal and agates and have a little collection of specimens. I like the opal best and until about a year ago was active on another forum for opal, but just fell out of sync and haven't gotten to cut much lately. Also because of the kids, I like to get involved in the schools and because of the club, I like to share basic geology and fossil info with the kids when the teachers need someone to bring in some nice specimens.
Thanks again for the forums!

Hi Stephen:). I started with opals, welo in particular. I still have them all, I've just drifted into the larger world of rocks. Your jewelry is lovely. Makes me want to break out my opals again!
