This the first batch of material from Wyoming...Mostly sweetwaters ,some jasper and wood..I have another batch just started today that has about a 50/50 mix of wood and sweetwaters..All done only in a UV-10 to preserve the natural state of the rocks.. ..Enjoy First the wood... opal wood ...We found very little of this Sweetwaters/Jasper Couple of the bigger ones The shine...They all look like this.. That's a nice way to show the "woodiness" of the wood. No doubt that's petrified wood. That's a really pretty batch. Those clear agates with black dendrites look a lot, I mean exactly, like some I have in the tumbler right now except mine is from Zapata and the gravel in Zapata is from upstream of the Rio Grande and maybe out of the Sierra Madres to the west. I guess similar conditions and chemistry upcountry somewhere.

Leaving the natural shape on the pet wood makes for some nice specimens.

Thanks Everybody..The sweetwater agates indeed are as Mel said ..the most easiest agates there are to polish..You got to hunt a good bit to get a load to do ....But it is well worth it...Also easier if you take little kids to hunt too as they are low to the ground and have better eyes..LOL...John

Nice looking batch, good selection. We like the bigger pet. woods with a little personality left on them, like the larger one in first pic. Never saw so many dendrites in one place, like them a lot too. Thanks for the show.
