Working off my guilt and working my way back, here are some rocks from a tumble load done a few weeks ago. Best of load photographed in bright sun: Same stuff but photographed in shade to compare. Can't see the colors as well, but the shine is easier to see. Closer photo of some of them: A piece of petrified wood I really like because of the "window" into it. This might show the window better. Looks like some kind of reptile head A type of petwood I haven't seen before. It has a very unique color and structure. I don't think it is palm, but maybe. Anybody know what kind? Two nice ones, but they look much better in real life. Couldn't help the crazing on the left one. The nature of that material. But the colors are great. And finally a "what is it?" I was guessing a really colorful rhyolite, but it took a better shine than most rhyolite. The gray stuff is solid, not holes. Hope you enjoyed. I have done my part, now let's see yours.

You got a really good shine on those, Mark. I can't help you with identifying anything though.

Those are great, Mark. Wow, they have a Krystee shine on them! Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the compliments everybody. Jean, a "Krystee shine"? Oh no. That is rarefied air, but I am learning some tricks and getting better. Occasionally I get lucky on a few. Got some Mexican Lace in the system now. We will see how that comes out.

Very nice pet wood specimens, and the shine is as good as it gets! I love tumbling pet wood, but I have also experimented with lots of other stuff to see just how they all compare. Keep up the good work!
