I'm back from Arizona, and it's very good to get online again with my friends here from RTH! I'm still getting caught up on the board and everything, and I just read the Woodward Pin thread, and was curious, has anyone ever considered doing an RTH Sticker? One for your vehicle? I would love something like this, and have no idea about the marketing end of it, but would love to hear any input. If there is one available, where can I order, and of course if there isn't, I guess it would be time for a contest. feedback for now would be great, but I have 4 vehicles, and would of course proudly display the RTH Name around. Steve...there are companies out there that would make the stickers for us. I did a brief look as some and were not impressed but I only looked at 3. I had thought about doing either a window decal or a bumper sticker. It is a good idea...and I do think it will work. Now all you need to so is come up with the picture for the sticker...

Pho, I think we would need a contest for the decal...a vote...and a prize for the winner. I would come up with a prize of some sort; a flat rater full of some Utah Material, but wouldn't know how to go about the setting up the voting poll. Any volunteers to get a ball seriously rolling on this??? Steve

I like the idea, but have one concern. What will happen to our close knit family once the name gets in front of the computer nuts out there (spammers, etc)? Granted we are all ready to some extent, and have been pretty lucky so far.
I think that so far word about the board has been by word of mouth, we meet someone and think they would have something to offer, or they know a little and want to learn more, so we steer them here.
I not against the Idea, just thinking out loud.

all ideas are great ideas spike. Juts looking for input now, and that's a great point. I don't want the spammers taking over this place either, and it's a great sanctuary now. Steve

We don't have to put our website on the stickers....if they really want to know, they can do a search...I like the idea and think it should include the phrase being used in the Woodard threads...Church of the Living Rock....

I like that one too Xena! I think it's a fantastic idea!!! Could you imagine going down a highway & out of nowhere...ya see a sticker on a vehicle & it's one of your fellow RTH'rs? Hahahah! Crazy people are gonna be chasing crazy people!!! There's a few options out there. If I were going to put one on my vehicle...I would want it to be more like a clear base sticker that would go onto, say...a rear window. I'm not crazy about the solid colored ones that our parents use to put on the bumpers that would eventually start peeling then look like crap!!! If you have a company make a large batch run...we might run into a set up fee too...not positive. This is my suggestion: Keep the design VERY SIMPLE. Like...large 2 or 3" letters that say: RTH Then underneath...maybe in italicised letters it would spell out: Rock Tumbling Hobby...OR...Church of the Living Rock Then...each one of us that wished to...could go to one of the sign companies that are all over the place (one name in my area is: Signs Now) & they would do a decal that could be placed on any spot you wished. It would be up to each of us to have it done. No set up fees...no one person would have the responsibility of co-ordinating or doing mail outs. Of course...the cost is going to be higher this way & that may not be cool for lots of us...but no matter what the decision is...I'm game!

Here's my first entry for the bumper sticker contest:It's the classic Euro style bumper sticker, simple but good.

I can't do the graphics- But I had a geology shirt from a local college so I'll steal the phrase from the shirt
"Love a RTH'er and feel the BEDROCK!"

I hope this is going to be going for awhile. I can't do any graphics until I get a different computer but would like to take part. I too, would prefer the self sticking type that you can put on your car window rather than a permanent type that you have to scrape off.

I have to speak up about Xenas phrase. I don't think the word church should be in it anywhere. I don't want anyone thinking I'm in a group of bible thumpers. I like Lcars idea, maybe with more color. It's to the point and lets people know I'm into tumbling.

I like the input so far. I like the ideas too....looks good Rob. Adrian, great idea, but I think we need something a little clearer that really lets the RTH stand out. Keep em' coming....I think the RTH decal will look good next to my L.O.S.T. decal on my Jeep. Steve

Another idea: I think it would look better if the stones are placed on a marble or granite slab. Adrian
