Hey... Daniel's a celebrity! Still gonna talk to us now? lol (jk) It's a nice picture. I like the way the kids are all craning their necks to see. Congrats!! It's good to see that you're being recognized for your volunteer efforts.

Sad to say, but the real star of the picture is the Lot-O. When I lifted the lid and invited each to take a turn to look inside, it was like an eyeball magnet.

Well, you might change your user name: CELEB 193 Daniel ;D
Nice to seed this passion in the children's souls.

Yes, I think some of the parents may have been the ones that took extra pendants. I gave out all my pendants, all my backup jasper beads, and 15 of my tumbled stones. I gave out 80 more pieces than we had kids register. Lots of double-dipping.

Wow... you didn't come home with anything left over?? That's great! You sounded concerned before that you might not have enough takers... guess that wasn't a problem huh? Again... good job!

No, I was always concerned there might not be enough pieces. I might have pharased something poorly.
Next year, there will have to be a coupon given at admission. That's how the gold panning was done this year.

Yeah, people raise their eyebrows when we say that we're into rocks. They look at us kinda weird. They snigger and smile and don't get it. But, offer free polished rocks and everybody likes them! Everybody wants them! they oooh and ahhh over them and they like this onw better than that one and tehy like this shapoe and that colour and these pattered ones. They come back for more. But they're not into rocks...no way! Mike
