Looks like the same texture as rose quartz. Looking forward to your cabs.

Yeah, he said it wasn't agate or jasper, or quartz, but something called Moganite (sp?). But apparently Moganite is usually white or grey. Or something. I'm sure he'll stop in at some point to clarify, but dunno if he has his computer in Q.

It's all dopped up and ready to go, wish I didn't have to go to work today! You're right both of you, the colors are very similar to Larimar.

MoganiteNice find! Any indication that the blue is color fast? or fades in sunlight?

Don't know yet about color fast-ness. YOU go buy a piece and stick it in the sun and see!

Next time we go hounding with Christopher, you bring the rope & handcuffs. I'll bring the slow torture devices. We'll get him to talk!

That's what everybody said. Moganite. But yeah, I guess he gets "Morganite?" a lot. Looking forward to seeing yours Gerard. I think everybody needs to be REALLY helpful and help him name it. I told him to name it Bluesky Stone, but he just looked at me funny and changed the subject.

Donald Kasper is a friend. Donald also did spectral analysis on white buffalo 'turquoise'. haha! White Buffalo turquoise is the most expensive calcium carbonate around. It'as a mix of aragoniite and calcite if memory serves.

Well - the write-up says it should be dull grey with streaks of white. Yours doesn't look dull or grey!

Yeah. Not dull, and not grey. It does have white streaks and puffs though. Ooh, he should call it Blue Puff Stone. Or, maybe not.

Actually Bluesky Stone is a very good name. Failing that, Christopher I recommend you go with Susie-blue Susan, please accept my apology if you don't like Susie!
