Dunes - color balance bad, should be greenish/reddish Xango Red "Emerald" Quartzite again bad color - this is USA Flag red/blue/white I did not get the name of that one, sorry. This is a granite called Black Fusion and a goofy image of me in honor of my friend in Hungary GeorgeStoneStore

Look at the little gal watching Scott in the lower left of the photo. Too cute. She looks like she has his number.
That is some real pretty quartzite. Spectacular

Photobombed by a store employee! They thought I was crazee wanting a take a pic with the hungarian flag. So did kidlet! If those quartzites were saucer sized slabs we'd all be on it for lapidary. It's hard to get the scale on this things but they are roughly 9 feet by 5 feet rectangular. If memory serves that crazee fractured emerald one is unstabilized. Most of the quartzites are stabilized with epoxy. That red/blue/white one has me mesmerized. Thanks Jim.

Love that red and the emerald quartzite.
That's a nice photo of you, but I think of you as the guy in your avatar.
Your shop could have an entire new market if they cut more bricks and sold them to those of us who like to carve, cab, and make spheres.

I could buy that stuff from the quarries in any format I want. BUT I have to buy 20,000 pound containers and pay freight. Only Tony and the Chinese are known to me to deal in that kind of quantity. Even Mookaite has a 20,000# minimum order.
Gimme some camos and my sunglasses and I am my avatar!

Being a dune rider (Glamis) from wayback, I have to say I like the first one best. They really look like that!
Scott, you kinda favor Andrew Zimmern, the foodie that travels the world, in that pic! Cute!
Am I right??

Think about it. Have you EVER seen both of us in the same place at the same time? I AM Andrew Zimmern.

Wow, those are way pretty. I did not know such variety was available. Scott, you have a very cool job. I see the Andrew Zimmern resemblence. Cool show. I think you and he may have some similarities in personality as well. I admire the way he never is among strangers.

Drives wifey crazee because I can be anywhere and strike up a conversation with anyone and start sharing beers or they are pouring me a wine (I dont even like wine!) or we order a sampler platter or something. She thinks I am crazee meeting RTH 'strangers' in the middle of nowhere too! TommyPlus I like to try new and exotic foods. lol

Scott, being able to strike up a conversation with anybody is what makes a great salesman. I call it the BS factor ahem, GREAT SALESMANSHIP! It's something that not all of us possess.
Doesn't Andrew have a great job? Travel the world, sample local foods everywhere... But I think I'd draw the line at eating balut - ewww, crunchy beaks and feet! You've probably had it though. And liked it.

Scott would be better than Andrew. No comparison. The little girl cracks me up-the look on her face.

And liked it. Never had balut. Nor 100 year old eggs. Need to try the latter. Not so sure about the balut. The embryo has feathers and my mouth doesn't like fur or feathers in it.
