It is a well known fact man made diamonds exist. Is there a machine one can buy to make diamonds or perhaps "jury rig" one with hydraulics. Someone get back at me on this.

No, you will never make a diamond yourself.

It is a well known fact man made diamonds exist. Is there a machine one can buy to make diamonds or perhaps "jury rig" one with hydraulics. Someone get back at me on this. Diamonds have been synthesized for a long time. I think GE was the first to make gem quality diamonds in any appreciable size. They started this back in 1950 and dope the diamonds with boron which makes them blue and and semiconductors. Theor process though is very expansive and makes the diamonds more expensive than naturally occurring diamonds. Other companies that have also synthesized diamond include DeBeers, Apollo and Gemesis. I am not familiar with DeBeer's process, but Gemesis is using high pressure, while Apollo uses a low pressure process to form diamond coatings in a process similar to what I was working on 23 years ago. Can you buy a machine to do this? Not likely. The companies already doing this don't want competition. And even if they were willing to sell a machine to you the cost would likely be prohibitive. Could you jury rig a machine? Technically yes, but there is a lot more to the process that simply creating the pressure if going high pressure. Without a lot of research, understanding of the process and the right equipment it is very unlikely you would succeed.

You can indeed buy a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition machine HERErocksolid - reach for the stars. The dude from Gemesis did. He had success. He built his own machines, so can you. Here is a paper on the process

I didn't see any prices, which is just as well. After a few attempts it would end up under a tarp with my other forgotten dreams.

I saw an ad a couple of years ago where you could send some of the ashes from a loved one to Russia and have them turned into a diamond, I guess your beloved could do the same for you. Would that count for you making diamonds?

It could be done without actually dying, you could literally pay an arm and a leg for it...
