Hi all, I'm refurbing an old RayTech GemKing 4 station polisher. So far I've been able to find everything but the water control valves that go by each wheel. Yes, I could use needle valves like used in swamp coolers and other 1/4 inch copper line, but I'd like to find some that will front mount using a black plastic control knob. They are inline valves, so the water can pass thru to the next wheel, as needed. And I can't find anything even close.
If I have to use the needle valves, I'll have to mount the line and everything externally, and kluge up all sorts of extra parts to make it work. It will work, but look kinda hokey.
Has anyone else had this problem, did you find a good solution, do you know where to buy similar valves?
GemKing has something similar, but they want $25 PER assy!
Thanks! Phil

Try an aquarium supply store for valves

Thanks. Those L valves are what I'm trying to get away from. I need in line, pass thru valves.

Here's a pic of the old one. The knob and needle are missing, but I think you'll get the idea. Thanks!

Might also try a farm supply that handles spray equipment, all sorts of valves and fittings on that stuff.

Tried 3 local pet/fish stores today, close but not adaptable. Only thing at Lows and HD are the brass needle valves, which, as I said, I can adapt to if I have to but I'd rather retrofit a little nice looking result. I'll have to external mount all the tubing, fittings, etc if I go that way. Will try Ranchers Supply later this week. Thanks all

Phil, Have you checked to see if Raytech still has any of those valves in old-stock that they may have kept to sell as replacement parts? If they don't still have any in stock, maybe they can let you talk to someone whose worked there long enough to remember who the supply manufacturer of those valves were. Larry C.

Thanks, and yes. Raytech today is not the Raytech that was. They said they don't have any plans, specs, tech sheets, anything on the old equipment they no longer sell. Pretty much didn't really want to talk to me unless it involved their current lines.

Google "Diverter Needle Valves" and click image. You will see lots of pics. The pics are linked to the web page.

Thanks. I've done that, also gang valves, inline valves, and a few others. Will keep looking!

WOO HOO! I've been checking online everyday, doing different words for many searches. Tried some new wording today, and I was just able to find 5 originals from one person, and a single from another! So I bought them all! Plus I was able to find a used multi that I can scavenge for parts to make the original 4 singles work, so I'll have enough for my friends unit that he wants rehabbed too! Blind squirrel finds a nut! Thanks everyone! Phil
