Two barrels finally hatched this week. The larger the material gets the more likely I'll have to redo the polish. Oh well ya can't have it all. These three slabs were a nice surprise for me. Three pieces cut back to back. Notice how the white changes shades from one to the other. Puffy slabs but you can't tell in the pictures. One last end piece is still in the coarse phase. Pet palm from Zapata, someone called this white tube palm. It fits. I had two pieces but the other pix were out of focus. These two pieces came off the same stick, about 6" apart Pet palm from Zapata Agate from Z This is one of those big chunks I've been tumbling. My barrels are only 3 pounders A little something to turn the water red, hematite from Michigan given to me by a friend. One of the high school teams up there are called the "Hematites". The longest piece is only 2" Have a good week pals!!!

The wood and the palm is insane. Wow. That is that Montana Zapata agate. I could swear that it washed down from Montana.
The big end of that 6 inch piece is very unique. Texas wood does wild stuff. Make you wonder what was going on to make shrink wood.
Like heat or pressure. I see botyroids inside that big tumble-like ghosts. Great tumbles Carlos.

Very nice rocks. If my first batch turns out half as good I'd be thrilled.

Great tumbles Carlos. It's nice to know there's someone else here who polishes in 3 pounders. You do your rough in the same size barrels?

I cut and shape on a tile saw and coarse tumble in a Thumlers AR6 9# barrel. I glued a 1/4" rubber bottom to the inside of the barrel for longevity and the same to the lid. The rest of the tumble is in Lortone 33B 3# barrels. One week in 110, one week in 500 and 10 days in polish. 1 day burnish with Dawn dish soap. Thanks for the comments.
