Tough workday yesterday, so when I got home from work I went immediately to my therapist. I cabbed 2 small pieces of Stichtite in Serpantine. It is very soft material but I really love the variations in color and patterns. All the pink/purple veins in these two cabs "shimmer". They give the cabs a 3D effect as light moves across them. Very cool stuff!

Stichtite 2
Last night my wife decided to go out with the girls so I ended up with a couple hours "free time". I have an order for two pendants, which frankly has me a complete basket case. They picked out a shape for the stone and want "Something blue...well maybe purple..or green". I decided to cab some material I already have see if any of these would work for them.
Chrsyocolla
Jadite (I think??) - I love the color in this material, but I cannot get it polished much better than a "semi-gloss".
I cabbed two peices of Tiffany stone. The purple color didn't come out well in the photos at all. Also, I need to final polish them. The 8000# didn't get them shiney at all.
Tiffany Stone 1
Tiffany Stone 2 - I am going to need to reshape the bottom end of this one..it slipped when I was photographing it and I chipped it =\
These last two are sodalite and they took a great polish. I used the 8000# wheel and stopped there. The polish was good enough that I was worried I would mess it up lol
Sodalite 1 - This is from the left over trimming peice of the next cab.
Sodalite 2 - This is my favorite of the night. The slab had a crystal'ish area that looked kind of like a flower. I wanted to capture it, but was sure it would disappear by the time I finished grinding and polishing. I was very happy when it was done. Anyone else see the rose?
I have to say it; there is nothing like "rock therapy" after a tough day. Of course, "real therapy" might be cheaper lol
