I don't think I have seen them before, those are outstanding agates.

Nice and not much talked about even in the Zenz books. To me though, they look to be amygdaloidal agates ( formed in pockets in basalt) rather than sedimentary agates like Fairburns. Zenz does say however that the Gobi abounds with agate deposits so there may be sedimentary agate deposits like Fairburns too and he just doesn't mention them in his books....Mel

Wow, those are really cool. Looks like they are alien rocks.

Very nice. Would love to make a sphere out of that material.

Wow, those are beautiful and really like the yellow in them. ...They are called Bonsai Suiseki-Natural Gobi Agates... Interesting name!

Although they are clearly agate, that first one looks remarkably similar to Thomsonite. Are the eyes in the first one actually green? Incredible.

I used to see these on Ebay a few years ago from China. I think they called them "Chinese Pebble Stones". They were downright purty and so are these. Rick

Yeah, I was thinking they looked very similar to Chinese Rainflower Pebbles too but those come from the river near Nanjing, China, not the Gobi Desert Of Mongolia.....Mel

Oh. I fell off my chair! I would be so conflicted, running like a crazy person back and forth to the saw, "I should cut it!!!", "how could I ever cut this?!", "I should cut it"!!!

Really unreal beauty and the finish in a simi-rough polish makes for a kinda suspect. The price alone would keep me away from a closer look. Don
