I finished three today, I hope you enjoy seeing them. Dino Bone, It looks better in hand, unfortunately it has a small fracture but it's not nearly as noticable as in the photo. Another OJ cab, it started as a marquis shape but one of the points broke. Another strawberry jasper, it has a couple of fractures but looks really nice in hand. Thanks for looking. Rich

Nice colours on the OJ. Not the typical green matrix.
Where is the strawberry jasper from? That a new on to me. Interesting to see the blue orbs along with the white.

Nice job on all of them but the OJ is my favorite of the three. Those colors really pop.

I love the ocean jasper cab. All three of them have a fantastic polish. What did you use to get such an amazing polish?

Nice job! I don't have a trained eye or anything but I don't see the fractures in the Strawberry one, it just looks juicy!

I love the ocean jasper cab. All three of them have a fantastic polish. What did you use to get such an amazing polish? Later Brent Brent, I polish w/ diamond paste. The OJ & Dino I took from 3K to 14 K. The strawberry I took from 3K,to 8K, to 14K, & then 50K Rich

Nice job! I don't have a trained eye or anything but I don't see the fractures in the Strawberry one, it just looks juicy! Miander, they are there, the pattern helps to hide them. Some times I find it's best to live w/ a defect rather than completely ruin a cab. Some defects just don't improve & even get worse. I try to identify possible problems when I mark the slab, but sometime they show up during the grinding process. Rich

Wow, what a fine bunch of cabs! That OJ is freaking awesome but I gotta say I'm biased towards the Strawberry Jasper cause I discovered and mined it *L*. It does take some special handling but you sure got it to shine up real fine. The Strawberry Jasper is a vein material I mined in Hunters Valley near Hornitos, CA where the wife and I used to own a ranch. And yes, it is a variety of poppy or orbicular jasper. Often contains gold bearing sulfides too as it comes from right next to a gold mine..Mel few more slabs:
