Funny how the greentards stay away from the frozen over great lakes. Kinda takes the wind out of the climate change bullshit. Long winters are not only good for the water levels but it also takes out unwanted invasive critters. Hope this will curb the asian carp from spreading to.

Carp survive everything. I have heard of them being frozen solid into peoples ponds and surviving. Goldfish are carp BTW.

The big problem with the droughts is the removal of the dams that were put in place to collect spring runoff. A lot of the rich farmland in the US was dried out wasteland 150 years ago until it was irrigated. Now the environmentalists have a dam breached to save some rodent or insect, everything downstream dries out, then they scream "global warming did it".

Plus, when we have a winter like this one, the possums die off in great numbers.

Climate and weather are two different things. Long term vs. short term. Yes invasive insects will die but unless every one of them dies they will come back.

at this labor training center I stayed at a few times this winter they have a small goldfish pond. Neat little landscaping and waterfall into. Them suckers survived the winter for the last 4 years Ive got up there. I think they threw a sheet of plywood over it. One of the last times about a month ago or so, I was there and they had a foot and half of snow covering it. I totally forgot about the little guys until this last time I went when the snow was gone. Couldn't believe they all made it. They are in like less than a foot of water. Its one of them small containers you get at like Home Depot or something. Maybe a tad bigger.

There clearly is some sort of heater to keep the water soft.
