I'm hoping that maybe some one has seen a container some where like what I'm looking for and can help. My wife and I were both into roks and she passed away on the 23 th of this month. I know that thay have urns and such for your loved one ashs but I would like some thing special for her made from some nice type of rock if this is possible. That is why I'm asking all of you if any one has seen such a thing.I know nothing about how large somethin like this would have to be, but se was a small woman and I'm hoping some thing may be made that will be small enough to place on a mantle or a small table.I would be greatful for any help because I don't know where to even begin looking. Thanks

Sorry for your loss. I'll see if I can find something. There is some artisan out there that makes urns out of stone.

Man...what a rough month for alot of us. Duck...I'm very sorry your beloved is gone. As you were describing what you were looking for, how involved do you want this to be? What I mean to say is this: Do you want to be able to purchase something like the other members are pointing you to? They are all very beautiful and elegant.
Or...are you trying to incorporate YOUR rocks into a container. Perhaps rocks that you & your wife gathered together and that have special meaning to you and/or her? I have a couple of ideas. If this is more where you're heading...give me a holler.

I'm so sorry about your loss. If she used to tumble rocks, I have an idea that comes from my cousin who glues a lot of tumbled rocks on flower pots, so the pot is almost invisible. They look very pretty. So I think you could glue her favorite rocks on an usual container, she would be glad to be surrounded by her favorite rocks.

I want to add my condolences. As for urns, they make a lot of nice vase and urns out of green translucent onyx. www.urnxpress.com/show/Natural+Stone.htmlMy favorite is the side-by-side green onyx, but the onxy vase style is nice too - so is the zebra marble.

Thanks so much to all of you for your replies, I knew I could count on finding some help from you and did . She made beaded bracelets and necklaces and has millions of gem stone beads that could be used. The urns are also beautiful. Just need something nice and heavy so her cats will not knock it over and spill it need to keep her around till it's finally my turn to join her , then our Ash's will be mixed and placed in a joint resting place. It's so hard to think right now, but I have things to show and suggest to my Son. Thanks so much. Bob
