Rules - we don't need no stinking rules! 2 tons a day unless its a leap year, then its 3 tons. Helicopter not included.

Those are some awesome machines man, I'd have to get a backhoe license or whatever...you guys are killing me! I'm going to have to make my way back there and get a pic for you guys now so y'all can come up with some real life solutions!!!

Don't get me wrong - I do love the sillyness, it helps ease the pain of leaving the dream find behind.

Dreaming is the fun part. Once you have it you have to move on to the next one. Enjoy the dream, I love to think about the one that got away.

I have moved a couple of times now since I started rock hounding. I leave the big Pet wood right where it is now. Last time we moved, I had a small truck for nothing but rocks, filled that sucker up, well the floor of it anyhow. My wife was pissed, but I was a bit disappointed in myself for not having enough pet wood to warrant a larger truck...oh well lol

Thanks for the teasers guys, the trunk is in a Regional Park coastline. There is no official statement addressing the collection of specimens - certainly not the removal of an ancient tree trunk with a backhoe. I live in the San Fancisco Bay Area, anyone wanna go halfzies? Talk to catmandewe he knows how to remove it

Always nice to see photos of specimens in situ.
