Howdy All! I was sanding some flats the other day when my 60 SiC belt broke and scared the crap outta me. Quite a loud pop when they break at high speed. Anyway, I was wondering if any RTHer's have tried cutting up used belts and adding them to a tumbler in lieu of some grit? If so, how did it work out? Thanks in advance for your input.

My guess would be not well. Save the strip for hand sanding or if the glue joint came apart glue it. If purchased recently you may have a warranty but shipping would eat up any advantage.
