Both beauties mr.mohs. Shotgunner is dead on about the llanite, not sure what you've go there. I've seen both Heart and Joan Jett. Here's hoping you get to give one to them.

I'm going to toss in a SECOND! for the Etsy shop. It's really easy and you don't have to fuss over it too much. (I have lots of nieces that are gettin' closer to rock-appreciation!) I got a question about web presentation are my pictures good enough to post on ETSY for selling purposes. Thanks Ed

As to the llanoite question I do believe my posted heart is of a llanoite type.
I mean what is the main characteristic of llanoite? Its those blue quartz crystal that are valued No one would much care for the rock if it was just a light gray orangish rhyolite. Be just another leaverite
It’s the phenocrysts of blue quartz in it that makes it valued by the rock grinder.
So in that estimation-- my black heart is of a rhyolite material, w/ those phenoncryst of blue quartz embedded in it. That makes it a type of llanoite. Maybe it’s not from Llana, Texas. Don’t know. But it formed basically the same way So it is a type of llanonite Mostly again

I got a question about web presentation are my pictures good enough to post on ETSY for selling purposes. Thanks Ed Ed, I am really excited for you!!!! There is a group that I have loved since 1979. I never thought I would see them. Then, a few years ago, they came to DC- close to me. I had to have a fairly major surgery 2 days before, but it didn't stop me from going. I never believed that I would see them live, but I did and it was awesome!!!!!! I really hope you get to go. You'll always remember it. As to pictures.... Your pictures are good, but etsy and etsians will tell you that it is best to have 5 pics of each item. That way you can try to show scale and different angles. You should do it. You'll have a nice little unusual niche.

Thanks!!!
My picture taking is what it is Hang heart in palm tree, hopefully around sunset, hold camera, snap picture. Steadying that camera by hand is challenging.
I’d like to set up a tripod and some sort of shadow box. But I’m lucky to accomplish what I can. If I set up a web site It will probably just be my own web space and word of mouth will have to suffice.

As to the heart concert I’m out crafting Ann’s heart this morning!! I’ve bought myself some time. I thought the concert was this weekend. EEEKKK. Pressure!!! But it not till next weekend. April 27. Tickets go on sale today. So I have crafting time. I have Nancy heart (or at least one in reserve) Made. Now that I got more time I might make another. \ But with Ann I was at complete loss. Her wiki page show her wearing an emerald type pendant. I asked a person who’s is a huge fan what type of stone would be appropriate for Ann? Her immediate response was a turquoise~ish color. I think I’ve come up with great compromise. Finger crossed. Thanks Tela! For the suggestions-- any one else - I’m open to them I think the Heart gals are down to earth type rocknroller a nd will appreciate a heart felt gift. O and if anyone wants to go to the show & as that availably just look mohs up. More heart news soon Ed

Are your hearts rounded on the back as well? Randy does those TOO AWESOME plume cabs with a turquoise backing. Would that be possible with one of your heart cabs? Crazy idea but might would solve your problem...Imagine if you can a plume heart with turquoise gently floating in the background...Oh yeah baby! Hope Randy doesn't hate on me for suggesting this...after all...impersonation is the highest form of flattery...mostly

back2back hearts Are something I haven’t fooled around w/ Enough !!!
I think there is a future for them Maybe next lifetime Cause rocks are hard… har har
I prefer the sidexside That the rock’n heart style I’m still finding tricks In crafting them
I’ve come up w/--what is shaping up-- To being an excellent solution to Ann’s heart I mean… it has to be 2 hearts… right ? I got to give both sister a heart,,, right?
A big red one was pretty obvious
But when you have to craft 2 hearts to be unique It presented a certain challenge I think I met that challenge wings crossed mostly
